We’re about an hour before we get out of Texas right now. I’ve been doing driving since about 9am this morning. Right now Ajin has taken over and is going strong. For those of you who don’t know what is going on, we’re taking Project Corolla up to the East Coast this weekend. I haven’t posted this on my website because it’s been a secret and will be a surprise. For the last couple of months, Wei, me and the rest of ACC_Cars have been building this car for Paul Han up in Philly. The car will end up being a surprise gift for him. Both Derrick and Ajin were kind and gracious enough to spend their time and money flying down to Austin and joining me to drive this 1991 Toyota Corolla up to Baltimore. It has been amazing to see so many people come together to help us in this cause. Groups of people in Austin and Baltimore/DC have joined us to make this project possible. I cannot wait to see the look on Paul’s face when we finally give the car over to him.
So far, the trip has been going well. We are making good progress and have been enjoying some sweet fellowship with each other as we share and catch up on how the Lord has been working in our lives. When they got into town yesterday, we went to Freebirds for lunch and Rudy’s BBQ for dinner. Both meals were ridiculously large and we all went home rather full and content in our stomachs. This morning we left around 9am packed and prepared for the 25 hour journey. Six hours into it, things are going okay. There’s a small problem with the car right now, but nothing too big that would prevent us from reaching Baltimore by tomorrow morning. Yes, we plan to drive through the night and hopefully be able to stop by Jimmy Choi’s church for service in the morning. We’re not sure if we can make it, but it would be great if we could do it.
Alright, it’s time to take a nap so that I can be ready for my next driving shift later this evening.
