I have got to say again, the weather here is unbelievable. Its 70 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze. I really feel like just sleeping in the grass when I get a chance. That’s something that I haven’t done since high school. Hopkins had great weather but not THAT much grass. UT has bad Texas summer weather and NO grass.

We just finished lunch and are getting ready to head back to the afternoon symposium. The morning session was pretty interesting. Some of the people that talked were researchers that I had actually heard of. It was somewhat enjoyable although I will have to say that it was hard to sit through all of it. I mean, I’m forced to go to these things so I should at least try to learn something I suppose.

During my off-time I’m re-reading “Stop Dating the Church!” by Joshua Harris. This time though, I’m taking notes and trying to summarize the chapters to make it easier for me to retain information but also retell it to others. It’s pretty interesting and there are many insightful statements that either Josh makes or that he quotes. I may post some of them up when I get a chance.

Okay, it’s almost time to get back to the meetings.

Yay.

There's actually quite a bit of grass around the LBJ fountain. Almost every time I go to the Thompson Conference Center, the sprinklers are going, so the grass is quite green. Makes you wonder what UT's water bill is...
