DSCN0251

I took this picture my senior year in college. It's a giant mousetrap with a Johns Hopkins diploma as bait. This was prominently displayed in the lobby of the new art museum on campus at the time. Clever, and reminds me somewhat of life today, as big hazards stand in between me and yet another diploma.

I recently took on the extra responsibility of setting up our research lab website thinking it was a quick and easy project. I can build a website, and I know enough coding to be dangerous. Unfortunately, this task has slowly grown into a huge behemoth of a project. I've got a few weekends of work cut out for me. The plan is to set up the site with "Joomla!", the software that also runs this blog. That should make things a little easier as I already have a little bit of experience here. I have some great support from the people at UT's FIC. I met with a few of them yesterday and they did all of the server setup for me. So now I have to design the layout and fill in the content.

PS: Even though the mousetrap picture was taken almost 8 years ago, I was able to find it pretty quickly on my computer as I've been indexing all my pictures with metatags. Yet another project that I am in the middle of. I've currently gone through about 10,000 pics now. Another 15000 to go:)
