If Carolyn and I could start our first year of marriage over again, things would start out like they are now. For us, last year was spent somewhat alone. While we were around people very often, it was more around people whom we served, rather than those who were ministering to us (dunno if that makes sense). But lately we've been surrounded by a lot of people who have served us so effectively both as a married couple and individually. Just looking at the last two weekends, we were in Houston and spent time with Carolyn's parents as well as G who was there last weekend and whom I received a lot of encouragement from. During the week, I've been a little more free to have lunch with Geoff and @powpow. Carolyn was able to spend much time with @leschiang and the baby. She also attended a few social events with her co-workers. Over the weekend, we were visited by Carolyn's cousins (Josh and @hiesther), and took them out to dinner. Our new small group has surrounded us with love even though we have only been to bible study twice! In fact tonight we were invited to have dinner with @meganluckie and @claytonluckie at Zocalo which really blessed us.

Tomorrow we spend time with my dad as we take him out to celebrate his birthday.
