Twitter down... again.
For the second time today, Twitter.com has been down. The
morning outage was caused by a denial of service attack, causing
the site to go down for about 3 hours. The source of this
evening's outage is unknown. You can check the status of the
Twitter site by going to http://status.twitter.com or
http://www.pingdom.com/
So far, Pingdom reports that the site is currently down (as of
10:11pm) and that the site has only been up 97% of the time in
August. That's big news, considering most sites are up 99.99% of
the time. The webhosting service that I have guarantees 99.5%
uptime. Maybe they should contact Twitter.
