Sweating Profusely
Short version: I sweat a lot.
Long version: It's not a very flattering thing to admit, but for
some reason I seem to sweat a lot more than other people when
exercising. I think my body has a problem keeping its core
temperature down, so sweating seems to be the best option. It's
not that I'm out of shape, it happens during the easiest of tasks.
And it's not just when physically active, ask anyone who has gone
with me to eat Korean food. I usually need a couple of napkins
close by as I eat spicy kimchi chi-gae.
During this hot summer, I've noticed that after cycling home from
school I'll usually step in the door drenched in sweat. I wonder
if people measure how much water weight they lose after exercising.
Perhaps I'll have to conduct an experiment where I measure how
much sweat I lose compared to someone who probably sweats a normal
amount. Any one want to volunteer? If the results show that I lose
a Nalgene's worth of water, I will flip out.
With regards to the physiological benefits of sweating (not just
for cooling off!)... read this.
