Suit Day

Did any of you grow up wearing suits on
Easter Sunday? My parents always had me dress up a little nicer on
Easter Sunday. So every year I just get used to wearing a coat and
tie to church on this day, even though I'm usually found wearing
jeans and some shirt un-tucked. I can see the purpose of dressing
up though. Resurrection Sunday is such a celebratory event- it
almost requires a bit of formality. In reality though, everyday is
Easter because Christ has risen and our sins have been forgiven (Ephesians 2:6).
Regardless, it seems many people have grown up wearing suits on
Easter. I showed up to ECHO and many people were wearing clothes
nicer than the usual jeans and polo shirt. Even Matt was decked out
in a full blown suit. He was apparently quoted as saying, "Hey
Jimmy, nice suit. You look good... like a pimp."
Okay, he didn't really say that, but that's what someone thought
they heard coming out of his mouth. In laughing about it, no one
really stopped to ask him what he really said.
