Restful Weekend
This past weekend was probably one of the
most relaxing weekends we've had in a long time. Though I had to
do an experiment on Saturday in the lab, it was one of those
automated processes where I just "set it and forget it" for a
couple hours. We went around town running some nonessential errands
and overall just enjoyed the nice weather this weekend.
Then on Sunday we went to church and then headed over to the Zilker
Park Kite Festival. After a slight hang-up with the bus routes that
were SUPPOSED to go to Zilker Park, we made it to the park and
spent a few hours hanging out with friends there. I would have
taken pictures there, but actually forgot the film for my camera.
"Film? I thought your camera was digital, Jimmy?"
Yes, I forgot my memory card. Argh.
We came home after the kite festival and did some Sunday grocery
shopping then headed over to Leslie and Oliver's to check out
their two-hundred-plus DVD library. Oliver had told me before that
he only buys movies that he feels he will watch more than 4-5
times, otherwise it is just more economical to rent a DVD once from
Blockbuster for $5. As I'm looking through his collection,
Oliver's giving me his expert review on certain movies. He's
telling me about certain redemptive themes in this-or-that movie,
and how this actress was at the top of her game in this movie...
etc. Then my eye spots a DVD that confuses me. I look over at
Oliver.
"Rush Hour 2???"
"Oh... yeah that's Leslie's. Some of these are Leslie's".
Hahaha. We ended up borrowing "Life as a House" and leaving Rush
Hour 2 for um... another time.

and you forgot to tell how you took us on the wrong bus to the kite festival, and then we had to walk 20 miles.
