(I was told yesterday that I need to update my blog more often.)

Yesterday was apparently the day to cash in on strange encounters. It's been a while since I've met someone strange while riding the bus. As I was at 6th and Congress waiting for my bus, I decided to pass the time playing "Bejeweled" on my phone. An elderly lady sits next to me and after a few minutes leans over and says, "Can I tell you something?"

I stop playing my iPhone and say "Okay".

"As a woman, I want to tell you something about all these creepy people here at this bus stop..." (at this point I think she's going to tell me about people trying to hit on her)

"Everyone here is trying to make it on an international level. That's what they're living for..." (at this point I think she's going to talk about society and success and life purpose).

"But I'VE made it internationally. I was in the World Hair Show, Miss Rodeo Texas, and I once owned a Dodge Neon." (At this point I have no idea what she's talking about)

She goes on to list all these cars that she's "owned" in her life, as well as all these people whom she "knows" (Hop-sing, Booty, Chong Lee, Suki) but nothing that is coherent or follows any train of thought. I wonder if she's actually trying to tell me all the Asian references she knows, because she just sidesteps all of my questions and continues telling me more Asian names.

Truth is, I have no idea what she is saying about ANYTHING, but I just go along with all of it. At one point, I secretly press the audio "RECORD" button on my iPhone app:

Below is a short clip of the 10 minute "conversation" we had. If you figure any of it out, come see me.
