Update (8-22-08): Seems like the IOC is starting launching an investigation into the athletes' ages. Time will tell if it's a real investigation or simply a means to appease the complainers.

Okay, I don't yell at the computer, but this post is a part two to my previous post from a few days ago.

I received an email today from a friend who brought to my attention an interesting find on the internet regarding the Chinese gymnasts. According to the blog post, the author has found several other cached documents which infers that one of the Chinese gymnast is only 14 years old. Since the Olympics only allows you to compete if you are 16, or turning 16 in the year the Olympics is being held, this would undoubtedly disqualify those individuals.

Apparently, that was all it took for the IOC to open investigations: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/2008olympics/2008/08/21/2008-08-21_ioc_launches_probe_into_possible_underag.html
