Yesterday, I went with a labmate to the UT Medical Center in Houston to observe a medical procedure on a rabbit. The procedure involved putting this giant rabbit under anesthesia and then performing an intravascular imaging pull-back using an ultrasound catheter. The time spent at the hospital was pretty cool. I learned a lot and the doctor that we were shadowing was very friendly and very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to do the research we wanted to accomplish.

But the research was not the highlight of the trip. Afterwards, we made a quick stop at Swirll off of University Blvd for some Italian yogurt and fruit. If you've ever been to Pinkberry in New York, you'll know what I'm talking about. Swirll is the Pinkberry rip-off of Houston. But let me tell you, it is awesome.

The combination of smooth, velvety ice cream with fresh fruit just melts in your mouth. Though I completely over-hyped it to my labmate, she really enjoyed it and continued to rave about it each time the spoon entered her mouth. If I lived in Houston, I'd go to Swirll everyday. If I lived in New York, I'd go to Pinkberry everyday.
