Pesky Cedars
Anyone else have crazy allergies
yesterday? I dunno what it was, but the pollen/allergens in the air
completely laid me out yesterday. As I was leaving the house
yesterday morning I could feel my allergies coming on. For a moment
I thought, "Hmm, should I go back inside and take some Claritin?"
After a moments thought, I figured, "Oh well, I'm running late.
Plus it'll probably just pass in a few minutes".
And therefore I began my day of irony.
A very painful day indeed. Even when I was indoors, I was sneezing
and feeling all stopped up. I did an experiment for about an hour
and a half and when it was over I felt like I wouldn't have been
able to continue even if I wanted to. When I left campus in the
evening I thought it would die down, but no. It didn't. I met up
with my friend Geoff for dinner and from the time I arrived till
late evening after I got home I was still going crazy. Though
meeting with Geoff is always enjoyable, I was actually quite
miserable during dinner. I had to excuse myself from the table a
few times to go to the restroom to blow my nose and was constantly
sneezing into my linen napkin throughout the whole dinner.
Today is a lot better which kinda has me wondering what it is that
I'm allergic to. I suspect its cedar. Looking at the pollen
history for Austin, I think that is a good guess.
