For new years eve, my family and Carolyn and I went out to dinner tonight. It was a good time to hang out, and a way for all of us to celebrate my birthday. Afterwards we came back to the house and were debating on what to do. I hadn't been feeling well all day and I started feeling even worse after dinner. Not sure if it was food poisoning, the flu, allergies, or a combination of all of those things, but I didn't feel good at all. I requested that we just stay in tonight and take it easy. Then Carolyn revealed to me that she had arranged for a few friends to come over and surprise me for my birthday. She had to call them back and tell them that the surprise was cancelled, well because I could be contagious... and one of my friends is pregnant. Not a good combination there.

I have to say I was a little disappointed there, but I thankful that my beautiful fiancee would be so thoughtful as to organize friends together for me for my birthday. It was okay though. We ended up taking it easy, and watching Batman Begins on DVD here at the house. I also took an Airborne and a Tylenol Cold and Flu to relieve some of my symptoms.

I know... what a crazy new years eve celebration. Easy now, mister 28 year old.
