Oh yes, now begins one of my favorite things of the Fall. No, not necessarily the beginning of classes. Rather, the beginning of college football. Being able to go to UT football games for dirt cheap is pretty good too.

Today, I was a little ambitious and decided to go wait in line for football tickets. I was thinking that since it was the first day of the draw for the first football game of the season, there were going to be a lot of people camped out for tickets. I was wrong. I showed up at 7:30am and there were only two people sitting in line. So I just sat down right next to them as number 3. (I brought a camping chair so I wouldn't have to sit on the ground). One and a half hours later, the ticket booths open up and I move to the ticket window. Turns out I couldn't get tickets because my class registration hadn't been paid for!!!!

I asked the ticket lady if I could go quickly pay my registration and then jump back into line. She said no, but then I asked her if I could just step to the side as I registered using my laptop. She reluctantly agreed and I quickly logged onto the UT registrar's website and paid my tuition. The whole thing literally took about 30 seconds. I jumped back into line and showed her my computer screen. She looks up my info in the computer, but unfortunately, the information had not updated in the ticket computers. So even though I was one of the first people in line, I had to leave the stadium, walk all the way to the Registrar's office to get an enrollment confirmation letter, and then walk all the way back to the stadium and get to the back of the line. I waited for another 45 minutes in line. Fortunately, this time the letter was enough to get me my tickets. I may have this problem again next week when I get tickets for the UT vs. TCU game.
