Today I spent a few hours removing the aftermarket exhaust that's been on my car for about 4 years now. I re-installed the stock exhaust and everything is much quieter. Now, usually an exhaust installation does not take a few hours. Start to finish should be around 1-1.5 hours. However, due to the rear-end accident that my car suffered in 2003, the Greddy exhaust on my car was welded into one giant piece. This meant that I had to do some chopping. You can see in the picture below where the exhaust was welded together. Usually those two sides are connected by bolts, allowing you to install and remove the piece easily.

Wei let me borrow his reciprocating saw, which by the way, is a lot of fun:) I chopped the two welded pieces in half so that they could be removed from around the sway bar. I noticed one of the exhaust hangers was torn, so I made a quick trip to Pep Boys to buy a $5.00 part. Anyways, the car is a lot quieter than I remembered it to be with the stock exhaust. It's kinda nice, as I don't have to worry about drawing the wrong kind of attention.

... although there's still that giant spoiler on the back. Oh well.

In other news, earlier in the day I went to "Arbor Car Wash and Lube" for a state inspection on the RSX. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. It was amazing! That was the first time that had ever happened to me for an inspection. They also didn't try to sell me anything. It was great. I'll be bringing our other cars by there from now on. Thanks to Chris for referring them to me.
