How do you tell the difference between a broken or sprained wrist? Yesterday while working on cars, I overexerted my wrist trying to loosen a bolt. I had my wrist in an odd position, and suffice it to say, I heard a crunch noise in my hand. I was okay the rest of the day, but then later that day, my wrist started feeling really sore. There's a mild pain there when I move it. I've tried keeping it immobile, but you have to realize that you use your wrists all the time. Even now as I'm typing. In fact, when my wrist first started hurting, I initially thought it was carpal tunnel, even though I've NEVER had carpal tunnel before.
