i am alive
It's a bit painful not having internet access at the touch of a button. Back home, I've gotten used to having internet at the house, and at the lab where I can always check email, news and upload stuff whenever I want. However here, I only have internet when I'm at my aunt's house, or if I go to this gross internet cafe which charges 20 NT$ per hour ($0.60 USD). Not a bad price, but there's not very good ventilation in the place, and people like to smoke it up while there.
Anyways, just wanted to drop a quick post to let my "fan club" (not my own naming) know that I am alive. I've been just hanging out with family here in Taiwan and eating a lot. We're going on a few trips in the next couple of days to different locales around Taiwan where I'll get to see more of this island which I've never seen before. Keep watch on Flickr as I try to upload pictures whenever I can. I've got another batch of photos which I haven't been able to process just quite yet. I'll try to do that tonight and maybe upload them in the next day or so.
