These days I've been getting ready for my trip to Taiwan. I don't think I've told many people, but on Friday I will be leaving for Taiwan. I will be attending a research conference in Taipei the first week of July, and then spending some time with family afterwards. It's been a few years since I've been back so I'm looking forward to it. I haven't seen many of my relatives in a few years, and so I want to take any opportunity that I have to do so. It's pretty cool how this conference that I'm going to is actually in Taiwan because it gives me an excuse to go back.

The last time I was able to go was after I stopped working at BAE. Being jobless meant that I could take some time off and go to Taiwan for an extended amount of time. That trip was certainly a gift from God, as I wouldn't have been able to go otherwise. I believe that this time is no different.

I should have internet when I go back so I'll continue to be blogging from the other side of the planet.
