Team Kang in full effect

Day 2 of Tim's visit continues today. Right now Tim is doing some personal research at the Harry Ransom Center here at UT. He's spending time looking at the ginormous photography collection that they have there. I didn't know that this resource existed on campus but after having been there, it is pretty impressive. We'll be doing some more stuff later this afternoon when he's done. In the meantime, you must know about a Tim Kangism that came up yesterday.

We were at the Capitol building on the ground floor of the rotunda where Tim was trying to take a picture of the upper dome. Tim's camera doesn't have zoom, so he wasn't able to fit the entire dome in one shot. In his frustration, he turns to me and says, "Man, I wish I had a bigger ANGLE." For those of you who are familiar with the term "angling", you will know why it was very appropriate for Tim Kang (aka, the Kangla) to say that.

Right after he says that though, he realized what he says and goes, "oh no. I did NOT just say that, did I?"

the harry ransom center is awesome. i was on an ingrid bergman kick once, and the notorious film deals are in there. they let me get a "researcher" pass and go through all the archives. it was pretty sweet.
