Saturday morning I went with a friend to 512Motors to check out a car. It's become a regular occurence for me to go check out cars that are posted on Craigslist. Anyways, this car was a 2001 Honda Prelude so I was personally interested in driving the car. Having never driven a Prelude, I was looking forward to the test drive. The car was in pretty good shape although it was missing a hood. The dealer said the hood was coming in next week, so for the time being it had no hood. While that's usually a concern when buying a car, it was great for a car's performance.

I've never driven a car without a hood either.

No hood means that you have better air flow going through the engine bay, and better cooling for the engine. I'm sure there was some slight performance gains while test driving the car. The dealer was very cool about letting me thrash on the car going through the curves. The H22 engine is pretty sweet. I see why people like swapping it into Civics. Anyways, my friend ended up buying it, so I'll get to drive it at least once more next week when I go with him again to pick it up.
