I made a big decision yesterday afternoon. After spending a lot of time considering the pros and cons, I also sought the advice and insight of others who had also made a similar commitment in the past. Going into this decision, I knew that it was going to be life-changing and that I shouldn't be flippant about it. At one point, as I considered the cost, I thought about forgetting about the whole thing and just walking away. But in the back of my mind I knew that there was so much more to gain through this promise. The road would be long and hard as most commitments are. But in the end I knew that it would be so rewarding. So finally, after a few hours of deep thought, I made my final decision and jumped in head-first...

Yes. I bought a pair of running shoes.

I feel like they're a lot different than Nike running shoes. Nikes seem made more for style, and they certainly succeed at it. But the Mizuno and Asics shoes just felt so light and made solely for running. I went back and forth between different shoes and finally decided to go with the Wave Rider 10's. I went out running last night in them and I could tell a difference in how they felt. Lighter shoes definitely make a difference. I'm gonna go out with different insoles in them tonight to see if they can be even more comfortable. The humidity is killing me though. Anyways, you knew I was talking about shoes all along right? What else would I have been talking about?
