Last night brought the arrival of the man, the legend, the Tim Kang. For those who are not familiar with Tim, he's my roommate from college. Right now living in New Jersey and working in New York.

Anyways, Tim got into town around 11:15pm after his flight was delayed for about half an hour. Since he didn't get a chance to eat on the plane, we went out to eat very late at night. At first we were going to go to Sonic to eat since Tim has never been to a Sonic before. Kinda odd since he says that they still show Sonic commercials on TV in Jersey. But apparently their sign which says "Open till at least Midnight" means that they're open TILL midnight. So we missed it and went to Kerbey Lane instead. We didn't get home till around 2am or something, so right now Tim's still sleeping. But it's all good. Today we will probably just bum around the city, catch some good eats, and maybe check out some live music in the evening. Although at 2pm, we plan on meeting up with the new CEO of Team Kang, Pastor Walton:)

Okay, that's a story by itself. So back in January, Jimmy Choi and Paul Han were in Texas for the RENDER conference. Since I was leading worship there, I invited them down to play on the band. The three of us ended up being in a small group together, led by Walton. Every night for small group, at least half the time was spent telling Tim Kang stories. And yes, every night there were different stories to tell. In the end, Walton was SOOO excited about this guy Tim whom he had never met, but had now heard an plethora of stories about. So when Walton found out that Tim was coming into town, he was ecstatic to say the least.

For those of you who don't know the Tim Kang stories, I'll have to re-post them back online at some point. We used to have an entire site dedicated to stories on TeamKang.com, but due to some problem with my prior web hoster, those are no more:(

Oh yeah, and Tim also had a present for me when he got off the plane. He showed it to me at Kerbey Lane and to say the least I was touched and encouraged by it. I'll have to post pictures of it online at some point. Thanks Jane and Shirley for playing a big part in it. You three are so awesome.
