Playing Hooky
The end of the school year ruins everything. No one can have fun and hang out until after classes and exams are over. I guess this is just a fact of life.
Tonight, as I was preparing for my Bible Study guys to show up, I began wondering who would show up. In fact, 3 out of 6 guys had already told me earlier that they wouldn't be able to make it, due to exams, classes and/or meetings. But then at 7:30p, no one was around! I thought that it would be pretty amazing if EVERYONE missed out on small group on the same week. We've actually only had one week this entire semester where everyone showed up. I thought, maybe this is the one week where noone shows up!
But at 7:40, Kyle showed up and so I had one person tonight. It was good though, we still studied scripture and prayed for one another. It was refreshing to be able to talk and study the Bible one-on-one. That hasn't happened since last semester when I only had two guys in my small group.
Turns out everyone else was studying and doing work. I can't wait till finals and this whole semester are over.
