I've had this weird steering wheel vibration in my car for about 2
months. It only happens when I drive 70mph or above, um... which is
like, um, never. So today I called Acura to see if I could get
work done on it. The good news is that he knew what the problem was and
said it could be fixed in about 30 minutes and that I could bring the
car in immediately. The bad news was that it ended up taking them 3
hours and it cost me $45. Turns out it was a tire balance problem.
Chris and Wei, you were right.
My tires came balanced when I bought them off of some guy, but the
Acura guy was telling me that since I had been driving on my tires for
a while without an alignment, it wore the tires in such a way that
after the alignment, the wheels were out of balance again. So the moral
of the story is, get your alignments done. Don't hold off on it like I
did. Too bad I don't know how to do an alignment myself, I would have
done it a while ago.
