Wow. Rez Week at UT was absolutely astounding tonight. There really are no sufficient words to describe what went down tonight. If you haven't come out yet this week, I really encourage you to come tomorrow (Friday) on the last day.

First up tonight was Saul Paul doing some gospel centered hip-hop. The guy had a crazy testimony that began with him being a freshman here at UT, but then dropping out, getting into some bad stuff, going to jail, and then being saved during his time in prison. When he came out, he started doing ministry all around the world, and went back to school... this time graduating from UT with a 4.0 GPA. He had some pretty sweet lyrics. One of my favorite parts was when he started asking the audience for random words. He wrote them on the board, and I turn to Nick, "where is he going with this?" Then he starts freestylin' and uses all those words in his rap.  "Opossum, man" undoubtedly rhymes with "I'm awesome, man".

Later, Jaeson Ma comes up to speak and let me say this... the guy spoke Truth. The guy has such a heart for the lost that it was contagious. He talked about how God had transformed him to have such a passion for people, and then also filled him with the Spirit to have a spirit of love, not fear. The testimonies he had were amazing as he told stories about dozens and dozens of people being saved at UCLA where he was at.

Afterwards we had a chance to pray for people and it was such a sweet time of intense prayer. People on their knees, people crying in desperation for God to shower His mercy and grace on this campus. I was quite moved by everything I heard and saw tonight. Christ was definitely the center of everything said and done. We were constantly reminded of this life that had been ransomed for us through God's kindness.

I don't deserve this life. God is truly good.
