I'm not sure how to blog about an entire week long trip. So I've decided that I'll just blog about individual aspects/stories of the trip as I think of it. (Don't worry, pictures are coming soon).

All in all, I think we spent about 24 hours in the van on the Oklahoma City trip. Austin to OK City should be only 6 hours one way. But both ways took 9+ hours due to heavy traffic on I-35. The driving for me wasn't too bad. Usually, I can handle long drives depending on the company in the car. "Team Cool" was able to keep me alert and entertained on the long drive, our conversations ranged from the latest "Office" quotes, to ministries of the local church, to which "physical characteristic do you find most attractive about yourself". (For Carly, it was her collarbone... hahahaha).

On the way back to Austin, Matt and I talked about how good the group dynamic was on this trip. We were talking about how one person can change the whole group. If one person had decided not to go, or if we had had one more person on the trip, the trip would have been completely different. Yet everyone got along with everyone, even though many people didn't know each other at the beginning of it. Last night before I went to bed, I thanked God for His kindness in bringing these particular 19 people together on this trip.

To be honest, the day before we left, I wasn't looking forward to the week. It was due to a lot of different factors, but ultimately God was gracious in allowing me to experience fellowship with everyone on the trip, and to cultivate community overall.
