Road Trip
I went with Matt and Matt to pick up the
rental vans for the Oklahoma trip. We went in one car and I drove
one of the vans back to the church. I must state the obvious: 15
passenger vans are a lot bigger than my little 2-door coupe. I was
so high up off the ground that I could see into people's cars. I
was like king of the road. I can see why it might be tempting to
buy a giant SUV. No one can mess with you because you are just so
large and high up. I thought about how nice it might be if later in
life I bought myself a big sport utility vehicle.
But then we went to fill up the vans and it was over $60 to fill up
3/4 of a tank. So there went that dream.
I like getting decent gas mileage and not having to pay $75 each
week to fill up a giant land boat.
