Wow, what a long day. I had quite a few after-school activities today, all of which were quite entertaining and fun for me.

At 4:30p I rushed home from school to change into my suit and tie. I had promised my friend Fatima that I would be an extra in this film she was making for class. The premise was a funeral scene, so I dressed in all black. The filming was taking place at church, so it wasn't that far from my house. However, traffic was pretty backed up on Mopac, 360 and 290. Everyone ended up getting held up by traffic. By the time everyone got there, there wasn't enough sunlight left to do the whole shoot. It was cool to see everyone dressed up in black though.

Afterwards, I originally planned to go home, eat dinner and just bum around. But the guys and girls asked me to come out to putt-putt golf with LINK, so I went. We went to Peter Pan mini golf off of Barton Springs. I like this place even though it's super old. Having grown up in Austin, I don't ever remember a time when Peter Pan golf wasn't around. My game started out quite fantastic. Birdies and pars all over the place. I was clearly in the lead. Then I began my descent. First I dropped to second place after a few screw-ups. I was well secured in second place, but Matt started to catch up. Matt and I ended up tied going into the 18th and final hole. I went first and sunk the ball in 2. Then Matt's first stroke put him several feet away from the hole. I began to quietly celebrate in my head. Then Matt got a spectacular in on his second stroke. We went into 2nd place playoffs. Though we had both lost overall, we were determined to figure out who was the lesser loser.

We played one more hole. Unfortunately, I made it in 3, and Matt was able to make it in 2. Good game.

We left and reconvened at Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Cherry Garcia for the win. Some of the group decided to hit up a movie afterwards, but I was too tired at that point to sit through a 2 hour movie. I gave a few students rides back to campus and then headed home. My sister was home at that point so we played the Wii a little before bed.
