This past week's bible study was on the topic of lust. Not an easy topic to talk about by anyone's standards. For us guys, it meant getting very specific on how we struggle with lust and sexual temptation. We talked about ways in which we could support one another, and also specific ways in which we could avoid falling into sin.
I was very encouraged from our discussion though, and even more encouraged from what I heard later on. One of the girl small groups had also discussed their personal struggles with lust, but they had gone a step further to discuss concrete ways to guard their brothers from lust, one of those ways was by being mindful of their dress around guys. I was so impressed when I heard that. These are girls that are truly servants to those around them. Thank you for caring more about our sanctification than what is more fashionable, or in-style at the time. Proverbs 31 applies to you.
