Usually I pride myself on being able to learn things and retain them in memory. However, the recent activity of listening to sermons during my daily commutes has refuted that theory. I've continued to listen to sermons in the mornings and in the evenings. I try to listen to sermons that I haven't listened to before, but occasionally I'll listen to one that I have already heard before. Either out of curiosity, or out of laziness (it's next on the playlist and I don't want to try to find another one that I haven't listened to).

Today as I was driving, I listened to a sermon that I had already listened to twice. Not recently, but in the last couple years. As I listened, I was convicted at how much I had forgotten (pretty much all of it) and how I was not putting many of these principles into practice through sanctification. It showed how I thought I had retained information, but in reality, I had forgotten so much. In fact there are a lot of ways in my life in which I need reminders. I think I'm gonna go back and re-listen to a couple sermons now.
