It's been a good day.

Work as usual. But interesting after school conversation. A friend from a few years back moved back to Austin a few weeks ago. Back then we used to have all these conversations about God and about the church. In fact, at one point I had the chance to share the gospel with her. At that time it didn't really seem to make a difference for her, and so I thought that nothing really happened from those conversations.

Fast forward to the present day. Though she's been in town for a few weeks now tonight was the first time we met up since her move. We met up for coffee and after talking for quite some time, I realized that I was late for an ECHO meeting and had to go. As we walk out to the parking lot she mentions in passing that she was going to this church back home, and now that she's in Austin she's been visiting different churches and thinking more about God.

Wow, I had not been expecting to hear that. AT ALL. Turned out that she had been seriously thinking about this thing for a while, and she had much more to share about her experiences. I stopped and decided that being a little late to my meeting would be okay to hear my friend out. We talked a little more in the parking lot, and finally she realized that I was super late to my meeting and shoo-ed me away. I said we would talk more later when we had more time.

Anyways, so that was why I ended up being super-late to the ECHO meeting tonight. I think I walked in 40 minutes late. Sat down for 20 minutes of the meeting which was pretty much the ending prayer and sharing time and then went home.

Oh yeah, and while I was at Starbucks I ran into another friend of mine from the summer. He hadn't been to ECHO since the Fall semester started due to school stuff, but it was really good to catch up and such. He said he was gonna try to make it to ECHO more often, and I really hope that that happens. Good stuff.

Yeah. It's been a good day.
