I made the mistake of playing ultimate frisbee in my Converse sneakers at the retreat. Those shoes were not meant for running. At least for me that is. I had brought my Nike Shox with me, but I didn't have time to get them before the game. I thought it would be okay, but it was not. Converse's are no good for people with flat feet. They're also not very well supported for lateral shear stresses, which you get a lot with quick stops and starts in playing ultimate frisbee. So right now my feet are kinda messed up. Got some painful callouses on my toe, and the bones in my feet ache. The moral of the story is, Converse Chuck Taylors help you look cool, but Nike Shox are made for running around.
