Home again
I got back this afternoon from the ECHO retreat. It was a really good time of fellowshipping, teaching and just plain getting away from the hecticness of school. I'm still thinking through the things of the weekend, hopefully I'll be able to articulate them out in the next couple of days. The theme of the retreat was on the Church; on what the church is about, what it should look like. I led a group with Jonathan's sister, Kara. To be honest I could not have asked for a better person to co-lead with. Our group discussions were so centered on the Cross, and even when they digressed away from the chief cornerstone, Kara was always good about drawing us back to what was of most importance.
After the retreat was over, I headed over to the church to help unload some equipment and supplies. Got home around 1pm or so. I was so exhausted that I slept for a solid 4 hours. I've still got quite a few hours of work to do tonight but I should be okay. We'll see how much I can get done.
