Man, grad school has gotten me out of shape. I used to be pretty active after college and before grad school. I guess school in general just encourages me to sit in front of books and computers all day. I went for a short run tonight, part of my plan to get back into sports and more outdoor activities (working on cars in my driveway doesn't necessarily count).

I came back really exhausted and worn out. Right now I'm sitting with my 0.5L mug from the Hofbrauhaus drinking water. It's usually filled with beer, but not tonight. I need to do some more running. I actually like running, but it's bad for my feet since I have flat feet. Tomorrow I'm going to pull out my carbon fiber orthotics to help out crappy posterior tibial tendon of mine.

Ah, even in recreation do I incorporate school in research. My professor would be proud.

You have flat feet?? I didn't know that!! Go running at Town Lake. It's better to run on trails than on pavement. Better for you feet and legs. :-)

what about if you have cushiony soles? i like my nike shox. they feel a lot better than my converse.
