So sleepy
No joke, I am nodding off even as I type this. I'm off to bed the moment I hit "submit".
This morning I woke up at 5:30am to take my car to the inspection garage. I meant to get it done last week, but stuff came up and so today seemed like as good a day as any. They open at 7am so I wanted to be the first one there, ready to go. In retrospect, waking up at 5:30 was a bit of overkill, but I wanted enough time to get ready and be out of the door by 6:45, or earlier.
I got there around 7:10 and there was already a car in the inspection bay. Dang it. It's alright though. I had my Nintendo DS, so I played several games of Tetris while waiting. After about a 45 minute wait, I recieved a "pass" on my inspection. These days it's always a game to see if the car passes inspection or not:) I dunno, I guess I shouldn't have anything to worry about since my modifications are all street legal... sorta.
I headed over to the local Starbucks where I was going to meet our new pastor, Matt Blackwell. Since I was an hour early, I plopped down and continued reading my latest book, "Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church" by D.A. Carson. Good stuff... it's really given me insight into the Emergent church and the post-modern movement. Anyways, Matt shows up around 9am and we had a very encouraging conversation. Just hearing about his life, his passion, his ministry, demonstrated to me that he practices what he preaches. I look forward to getting to know him better through serving together in ECHO.
Okay, time for bed.
