Usually people try to avoid jet lag when traveling internationally. It's not a good thing when everyone is sleeping while you are wide awake, or vice versa. However, I think I have kinda made myself purposefully jet lagged. I think I was actually okay when I got home on Saturday. Having slept about 5 hours on a 25 hour trip, I was pretty tired by the time I reached the house. On top of that, it was already 11:30pm so it was perfect time for me to go to sleep. That's where I messed things up. I ended up unpacking some luggage, checking email and then going to sleep. At 2am I woke back up to see if my suitcase had been delivered (it didn't make it onto the Dallas flight and got sent on a following flight, then delivered to my house). It had been dropped off already so I spent some time unpacking it.

Sunday morning I woke up to go to church, came home and then pretty much bummed around for the rest of the day. Instead of taking a short nap, I just played video games and processed some pictures from the trip. By 9pm, I was so tired that I just decided to go to sleep for the night. By 4am I was wide awake. It's 6:30am right now, and I've been processing pictures for quite awhile. I'm not even close to being done yet. There are so many pictures to go through. I took over 500+ pictures while in Germany. It's a mixture of tourist shots, "artsy" shots, candids, posed pictures, and some plain bad pictures that I took simply experimenting with the camera. In the end, I think I will probably end up with half of those that I like. Here's a teaser pic:

Anyways, since it's Monday, I'll probably go into the lab today and just take it easy. I'll bring the laptop in so I can process some more pictures.
