American Rescue
Did anyone read CNN this morning? The news about how US Marines are stepping up efforts to evacuate Americans trapped in Lebanon. I read that this morning and just felt a spirit of thankfulness in knowing that innocent lives are being protected. Previous articles had talked about how the cries for rescue were going unheard, and that this seemed a lot like the aftermath of Katrina last summer. Thankfully that is not the case this time.
It is amazing just what is going on over there with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I was never really interested in international news, but I realize that this is history in the making. What happens here will profoundly affect the future.
