Blessed

These days, when I am tempted to consider what I do not have, I remind myself to consider what I DO have. Not only that, what I have so plentifully. Today I needed no such reminder, as the blessings that I have were made so evident to me throughout the day.

When I woke up this morning, I had recieved an email from a friend whom Paul and I had lost touch with a few years ago and never heard from again. He talked about how well things were going these days. Furthermore, he will be getting married in October in British Columbia. Very, very cool.

Today Paul and I went to lunch with Dennis at Freebirds, then hung out at the Texas History museum downtown. In the evening we met up with Ricky and went to watch Superman Returns. In all these things, it was just a reminder of the guys that God has blessed me with in my life. Even when it was just Paul and me hanging out, we would talk about all the friends that have been close throughout the years. And it was joyfully evident that I am not lacking in this area of my life. That is something to be thankful for.
