Greasy and Grimey

Woke up this morning and spent a very relaxing day in the garage tearing into the KA24DE engine in the 240sx. Wei came over around 11am and we worked for several hours just dismantling pieces of the car. Here's what it looks like so far:

In two days of work, we've managed to remove the airbox, radiator, fans, power steering pump, alternator, EGR box, exhaust manifold, exhaust + catalytic converter, ECU, and all the associated hoses and cables. Unfortunately, we weren't able to remove the engine today, but I think the next time we get together we'll get to do that. Most of the work is slow since this is our first time doing it, but it's pretty fun figuring things out. I think I said this when we were working on the Corolla. Oh well, I can say it again:)
Fortunately, the power steering pump and air conditioning compressor look to be in good working condition. That's good for us since both of those will be transferred over to the new engine.
Man, when I was totally done with working on the car, I smelled pretty bad. Spent a solid 30 minutes in the shower just trying to clean off all the grime off every part of my body. GOJO is a great product.
In other news, I heard that the RSX will be discontinued in 2007 by Acura. Oh well. It had a good run while it lasted. Hopefully that means my car won't depreciate as fast as it has been lately:)
