We had a bachelor party for Ricky yesterday. Nothing too crazy... probably the craziest thing we did was have a lot of junk food:) But that's okay. Bachelor parties really aren't about going crazy and having one last "fling" before marriage. They're more about celebrating brotherhood and spending time with one another, and that's exactly what we did. The boys went over to Ricky and Sharon's house and we played video games all day and ate candy and soft drinks till our stomachs ached.

Now I know it sounds like a pretty dorky party, but again, it was just good to be together with the guys. There were people there who weren't interested in playing video games and so there were also a few good conversations that I was able to have with people.

In the evening we went out for a manly bbq dinner and then reconvened at the house for a time of sharing and reminicing and prayer. It was a very meaningful time for everyone as the sharing was not forced, but was rather just an outpouring of our love and respect for Ricky.

So yeah, yesterday was fun. As I told my friend Carrie, some people have strippers at their bachelor party, we have video games:)
