Hands down, Saturday was jam packed. Fortunately none of the activities were school/research related.

In the morning the boys came over and we did some car work. Or at least, attempted to. At the end of the morning we had really only accomplished two things. One, we ate McDonalds, which has naturally become the unofficial sponsor of ACC Cars. Two, we assembled Chris's engine hoist in my garage. This is a 2-ton crane so it can easily support an engine, assuming we can get it out of the 240sx. We also put some car stickers on the crane to make it an official car tool:)

In the afternoon, there was a co-ed wedding shower for Ricky and Sharon. The party was organized at this place called "The Work*shop" on 6th street. Basically, we all went there and painted pottery together. Kinda weird, and I've never done this before, but it was somewhat enjoyable. Okay, I liked it a lot. That is, except for the time constraints. We had to pick our pottery piece, think of a design, and complete the painting all in 3 hours. Afterwards we paid for our pottery and gave those as gifts to the wedding couple.

I went home for about an hour after that and then went out again to Lindsey's Birthday/Graduation party. I didn't really know anyone there except for Carrie who is from Lindsey's lab. It was fun though meeting new people and just hanging out. Towards the end of it, Carrie was teaching me how to handle peer pressure by just diverting towards other people. As in, "Nah, I don't want a jello shot... but DANIEL! He looks like he wants one! Yeah, Daniel!" Or whoever happened to be around. Pretty useful. Fortunately, I don't succumb to that sorta peer pressure.

haha..i remember in college we would always divert prayers to other people. so the leader would be like ok who wants to pray? and somebody would be like...thanks melody, and start praying..hmm..i don't think that tied in to your sotry about peer pressure. sorry.
