Finally got home from the conference today. Traveling home was a pain... We woke up this morning at around 6am, and I didn't make it home till around 3pm. I couldn't really sleep well on the plane, but I crashed when I got home. Unfortunately I didn't hear my alarm go off and so I missed my 6pm photography class. Argh.

Anyways, yesterday was the last day of the conference. In the evening there was a BBQ at a local park and afterwards we went to a bar to hang out and continue conversations. I was pretty worn out to talk to a lot of people but I did get a chance to talk to one of the main research players at the conference. This also happened to be the guy whose house I was staying at. Before I left, he told me that he really thought my professor was a really smart guy and that we were really doing some great research together. He encouraged me to stick with it and to continue working harder at what we were doing. It was really awesome to hear him say that, because this is a guy who is super accomplished; I actually read about his research featured on CNN.com and MSNBC.com. We'll see where I go with my research.
