Do you remember that movie "50 First Dates" with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore? You know, the one where Drew Barrymore's character loses her short-term memory capability and can't remember anything that happened the day before? Adam Sandler's character falls in love with her but since she can't remember him, every day he has to take the time to make her fall in love with him over and over and over and over again.

Well, I kinda understand that now... at least in a non-romantic sense.

We've got family here from Taiwan right now. My uncle and his family are here visiting for about a week. They've got a little girl, Tina, who's 9 years old and super shy. Everytime she sees me after a long hiatus, she forgets who I am and doesn't like to come play with me. So everytime I see her, I have to make her feel comfortable around me again and remind her that we're friends and can play together. Tonight, that involved me chasing her around the house and also playing with the dog with her. Fun stuff.

hmmm..it seems like she's too old to still be chased around the house by a cousin. isn't that usually when they're like...5 or something?
