Can I tell you something? Easter was frickin' awesome for me this past weekend. I think given some of the things that have happened this past year, Easter was especially sweet for me. Hearing messages about the power of Christ's resurrection was so encouraging and such an excellent reminder of the transforming grace of the Gospel. I was brought to tears in church as I pondered the goodness and the kindness of God. Not only does he provide so much for me physically... but ultimately He gave Christ so that we would not have to taste death.

One of the things that made Easter so great was Good Friday. I went to Good Friday service at EV Free and it wasn't anything too flashy or showy. Very simple service in where Scripture was read and we sang a few hymns. But at the end of the service, Pastor Rob simply said, "Go in silence, and ponder what you have heard tonight. Go." With that, everyone filed out of the sanctuary in silence. There was not a word to be said until we got to the parking lot. And with that I did. Christ's death on the Cross was on my mind Saturday, that when Sunday came around it was so awesome to know that He had risen!

Sweet.
