Today was quite a different day in terms of the grad school life. Instead of being very busy and working in the lab today, I slept in till noon and spent most of the afternoon just tinkering around in the garage. Since I've made my decision on next year, and I turned in some big assignments this past week, I decided to take this weekend easy.

Last night I went down to Sixth Street with some classmates and met a friend of a friend named Julie who goes to Austin Stone, but used to go to ECHO. Pretty cool, we talked about church and missions, talked about the Invisible Children documentary that was shown at EV Free last Sunday. Overall, it was fun though, we hopped to a few bars here and there and just walked around downtown.

Tonight I went to Alex's house for dinner. His parents were having a few folks over for dinner and they asked me to join them. Mostly it was just the kids hanging out while the grown-ups talked and ate. Yeah, 20 years later and I still feel like I'm one of the kids when I go over there. Hard to believe that it's been over 20 years since I've known the Chens. I'm very blessed that they are still here in Austin after so many years.

Tomorrow is church, and then the UT softball game at 1pm. My musculoskeletal modeling class is going together for a class bonding trip. Kinda odd since we're in grad school, but I appreciate my professor organizing something like this so we can all hang out outside of the classroom and computer lab.
