I went to a job fair on campus today. Had to get all dressed up this morning which was not so great for me because I overslept and ended up being in such a hurry that I didn't have time to grab a change of clothes for after the job fair. So I went to class in slacks and a tie. I felt a little out of place with people in jeans and hoodies.

Anyways, for those of you who don't know, last fall I had a prospect of going to work for APL in Maryland. Unfortunately, I didn't end up getting the job there, so I was back to the job search today. While BME jobs are a little less plentiful in Texas than say, jobs for EE and CS majors, I was still able to talk to a few people about potential jobs. I talked to the US Patent and Trade Office, since they were one of the few employers looking for BMEs. When the guy started looking at my resume, he said, "oh great! We just had a hiring manager ask us to be on the look out for a BME with some EE background." That's always good to hear that a company was looking for someone with your qualifications, but the thing that was great news was when he said, "You know where we're located right? Right in the heart of Washington D.C."

Fantastic:)
