My parents left this morning for New Orleans. They went to visit my aunt, uncle and grandaunt. My grandaunt hasn't been doing too well ever since Katrina hit. Although at the age of 88, she's holding up well. Anyways, they've been meaning to see her, and also my uncle has told my parents to come in order to really appreciate the sheer magnitude of the hurricane and to understand the power of nature.

I wanted to go with them, but unfortunately I've got a lot of work to do for school. I wasn't even able to play Settlers yesterday at Tiem's house after the prayer meeting. I just sat on the couch working on my conference abstracts that are due Monday. (But I did find time to take a short break to play PGR3 on their brand new XBOX 360).

I guess my biggest concern for my parents' trip is for my grandaunt. I really hope that my parents will get the opportunity to share the gospel with her. When someone's pushing 90, there's more time behind them than there is ahead of them, so there's a sense of urgency there. My mom took some tracts with her, as well as small versions of the Gospel of John in Chinese. Hopefully they will be helpful. Anyways, so I'm home alone for the weekend. Well, me and the doggie.
