Got a chance last night to talk on the phone with a good friend from college, John Chung. Sadly, the last time we were able to catch up was a little under two years ago when I was in Baltimore for recruiting weekend at Johnny Hopkins. This time around we hope to keep in better touch than once every two years. We talked about things that were going on, church life, work life, all life. It was good... definitely one of the guys from school whom I respect.

I pretty much went straight to bed after that because I wanted to wake up early one last time to take another picture of the tower. This time I wanted to try to get the sunrise in the shot, but unfortunately they shut off the tower lights at 7am, thirty minutes before the sun was supposed to break. In fact, the lights went off halfway through one of my exposures. Oh well.

The best part of the shoot was towards the end when morning traffic was beginning to build around the campus. As over two dozen people were gathered at Littlefield Fountain taking pictures, this guy on a motorcycle was at the stop sign and yells out, "Hey LOSERS, it's OVER! GIVE IT UP AND GO HOME!" I started cracking up and then one of the photographers yells back, "Why don't you go back to California!"

Hilarious, I tell you.

One more thing, remember to pray for Ricky and Sharon. For those who don't know, Ricky had a pretty nasty spill on the ski slopes this past weekend and ended up going to the hospital. Sharon stayed behind in Utah to care for Ricky as everyone came back home. He is doing a lot better but recovery will take time. They should be returning on Tuesday at the latest (says Sharon).
