How to Drive Stick
Went into the lab for a little while and got some stuff done. I should be getting more stuff done in the next couple of days. It's hard to keep working not having any company there in the lab, but it's nice when I want some peace and quiet. Later in the afternoon, I met up with David and gave him a lesson on how to drive standard in my car. He picked it up pretty quickly I thought. A lot faster than I picked it up when I started driving. Then we went over to the local Starbucks and caught up for a little while before parting ways.
During the driving lesson though, there was this really ugly screeching sound coming from the car. At first I thought it was from the back of the car, but when I stuck my head out the window, I realized it was coming from the wheels. When I got home I realized that my passenger front brake pads had worn down and the metal indicator was creating this really nasty sound that was like the weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Fortunately I still had the old stock pads for my car so I just popped one of them back on the car and like MAGIC, the screeching was gone. But I will need a new pad soon enough. Perhaps next month when I have more monies.
Thanks to everyone who has been asking about Project Corolla. I appreciate the support. It's gonna be great when it's done.
