Is a ghetto car in your driveway against the homeowners association agreement?
Today I bought two new tires for the car. The front two were pretty bald and one of them was so worn that the metal band from the inside was sticking out of the rubber. I poked myself a few times moving the tires. Pretty gross. But anyways, I got the tires at Discount Tire. The great thing about it is that since the wheels are so small, the tires were only $20 each. After installation and taxes I spent less than $70 for two tires. That's less than what just one of my RSX tires costs itself!

I also went to a junkyard to find the window regulator for the passenger side. It was kinda scary going there. The junkyard was so large that they had a row numbering system to designate where each car was in the lot. The manager at the front office just told me to follow one of the workers. The guy didn't speak english so he would just motion me towards things. I got a bit concerned when he motioned me to get in the backseat of this 1973 Buick. But since the lot was so large, you needed to get around by car.

So we're rolling around on the gravel lot in this beat-up Buick with a busted windshield trying to find a window regulator. When we found it, the guy kept saying to me, "Bueno? Es bueno???" I finally nodded yes, and he got out some airtools from the trunk of the Buick and started dismantling the part that I needed. Then it was back into the Buick for the ride back.

It's not everyday you go to a junkyard. I'll probably be back for more parts later.
